Ein irischer, limitierter Whiskey von Jameson, gegründet im Jahr 1780. Dieser 18 Jahre limitierte Reserve ist ein ganz besonderer Whiskey. Er ist ein Blend aus 2 Pot Still destillierten Malt Whiskeys und einem Single Grain. Der Whiskey reift 18 Jahre in Oloroso-Sherry-Fässern und erhält ein 6-monatiges Finish in Bourbon-Fässern. Das Ergebnis ist ein weicher, ausgewogener Irish Whiskey mit schönen Sherrytönen. Alle Flaschen sind nummeriert. Jameson selbst sieht diesen 18-Jährigen als eines seiner Meisterwerke an.

Der im Sommer 2015 erstmals veröffentlichte Hibiki Japanese Harmony wird vom Suntory Whisky Blending Team unter der Leitung von Master Blender Shingo Torii mit Malt Whiskys aus den Brennereien Yamazaki und Hakushu und, für die volumenmäßig größere Komponente, mit Grain Whisky aus der Brennerei Chita hergestellt. Die Whiskys stammen aus 5 verschiedenen Fasstypen, unter anderem aus amerikanischer Weißeiche, Sherry und japanischer Mizunara-Eiche, und treten damit in eine neue Phase ohne Altersangabe" ein. Leicht, zugänglich mit Noten von Orangenschalen und weißer Schokolade.

Dieser Blend aus 16 der seltensten schottischen Single Malts ist eine Hommage an die Kunst des Blending, die von Vater John Walker und Sohn Alexander perfektioniert wurde. Es handelt sich um einen sehr limitierten Whisky, weshalb jede Flasche ihre eigene Nummer trägt. Die Whiskys haben eine außergewöhnlich lange Reifezeit hinter sich, oft in ehemaligen Sherryfässern. Das Herzstück von Johnnie Walker Blue Label sind die reichen Malts von der legendären Isle of Islay. Das Ergebnis ist ein erhabener, rauchiger und geschmackvoller Whisky.

Ein 15 Jahre alter Blended Whisky aus der Togouchi-Reihe, hergestellt von Chugoku Jozo in Japan. Das Unternehmen wurde 1918 gegründet und hat seinen Sitz in Akiota. Sie brennen den Whisky nicht selbst, sondern importieren den Malt Whisky aus Schottland und den Grain Whisky aus Kanada. Das Blending und die Reifung finden in Japan statt, so dass er als japanischer Whisky bezeichnet werden kann. Der Ort, an dem der Whisky reift, ist ein ganz besonderer. Ein alter, verlassener Eisenbahntunnel in der Gegend erweist sich als idealer Ort für die Reifung des Whiskys.

Er kombiniert einen Kern von Malt Whisky aus Yoichi und Miyagikyo mit Coffey Still Grain Whisky. Frisch und fruchtig, aber auch mit dunklen Noten von Schokolade. Der Nikka Tailored ist ein würdiger Ersatz für den sehr beliebten Nikka 12.

Der WhistlePig 15 Y - Vermont Estate Oak ist einer ihrer ältesten Whiskeys, aber auch der erste, der in Eichenholz gefinished wurde, das auf der Farm der Destillerie geerntet wurde. Dieses Holz hat mehr Ringe als die übliche amerikanische Eiche, die für Whiskey verwendet wird, und bietet somit mehr Gelegenheit, tiefere Aromen zu vermitteln.

Die Eigashima Distillery ist auf dem Papier die älteste japanische Whisky-Brennerei - sie erhielt 1919 eine Brennlizenz. Die aktuelle Brennerei wurde jedoch 1984 gebaut und stellt erst seit 2007 Single Malt Whisky her. Die Whiskyproduktion in dieser kleinen Familienbrennerei ist sehr begrenzt, da sie nur in den wärmeren Monaten aktiv ist. Ihr Akashi Sherry Cask reifte 5 Jahre lang in einem hochwertigen Sherry-Fass: Japanischer Whisky vom Feinsten!

Es ist eine auffällige Flasche, aber der Whiskey darin verdient diese schicke Verpackung. Dieser Kentucky Bourbon lässt sich vielleicht etwas schwer einschenken, aber die Belohnung kommt danach. Die Willett Distillery wurde 2012 komplett renoviert und hat sich von einem unabhängigen Abfüller zu einer Whiskey-Destillerie entwickelt, die ihren eigenen Whiskey herstellt. Auf dem Gelände befinden sich insgesamt acht unter Zollverschluss stehende Lagerhäuser mit einer Gesamtkapazität von fast 50.000 Fässern köstlichen Whiskeys.

Willett - Pot Still Reserve

Der dritte Ausdruck in der preisgekrönten Single Grain-Reihe der Teeling-Brennerei. Dieser irische Whiskey wurde über 15 Jahre lang gereift, zunächst in ehemaligen Bourbon-Fässern, anschließend in ehemaligen Bordeaux-Sauvignon-Blanc-Fässern. Dieser Single Grain Whiskey wird nach einem Rezept aus 95 % Mais und 5 % gemälzter Gerste hergestellt und ohne Kaltfiltrierung abgefüllt, um seinen natürlichen Charakter und seine volle Intensität zu bewahren.

Ein Single Cask, Cask Strength Single Malt Whisky aus der taiwanesischen Kavalan Distillery. Die Solist-Reihe ist die prestigeträchtigste Reihe der Kavalan Distillery, in der mit hochwertigen Komponenten experimentiert wird, um die bemerkenswertesten Whiskys herzustellen. Dieser Whisky reifte in einem speziell ausgewählten Port-Barrique. Das verleiht ihm einen erstaunlichen Geschmack und eine natürliche Farbe.

Die Amrut-Brennerei ist die bekannteste Brennerei Indiens, die Whisky von sehr hoher Qualität herstellt. In großer Höhe und bei warmen Temperaturen reifen die Whiskys besonders schnell im Fass, aber es verdunstet auch viel Whisky, was man als „Angels Share“ (Engelsanteil) bezeichnet. Und genau das ist bei drei Fässern passiert: Zunächst reifte dieser Whisky in ehemaligen Bourbon-Fässern, dann in einem speziell ausgewählten ehemaligen Portwein-Fass und schließlich wieder in einem ehemaligen Bourbon-Fass. Dass dieser Whisky noch mit 62,1 % Fassstärke abgefüllt wird, macht ihn zu etwas ganz Besonderem.
