Talisker, founded in 1830, is the only distillery on the Isle of Skye and was established by brothers Hugh and Kenneth MacAskill. While small stylistic shifts occur from time to time, the balance of peat smoke, maritime notes, sweetness and white pepper remains a winning combination. Since its inclusion in the Classic Malts range in 1988, Talisker has rightly become a favourite among those who appreciate its explosive and complex character.
