Lagavulin, 16 Y

Lagavulin, 16 Y

Islay

The Lagavulin Distillery was established in 1816. This Islay whisky is a powerhouse. Lagavulin is not for cowards. Declared 2012 'Best Islay from 13 to 20 years' and an IWSC Gold Medal. This whisky is a classic example of how smoke is not a blunt instrument, covering everything in a fog, but an element that works with all the facets that determine the taste in distillation and maturation. A complex Malt.

Jack Daniel's - Single Barrel, Barrel Strenght

United States of America

Jack Daniel’s Single Barrel Collection is hand selected to mature in the highest reaches of their barrel houses. Those barrels experience the most extreme temperature variances, resulting in exquisite Tennessee Whiskey. Jack Daniel’s Single Barrel Cask Strength is picked by master distiller Jeff Arnett, one of only a handful of individuals ever holding that title. Bottled at an impressive 64.5%, this high character single barrel spirit has loads of flavor, imparted by handmade, toasted and charred, American oak barrels.

Jameson, 18 Y - Bow Street

Ireland

Jameson is the world’s best-selling Irish whiskey and the Jameson 18 Y Bow Street is one of this brand’s most premium whiskies. It’s a special blend of rare pot still and grain Irish whiskies exclusively produced at the Midleton distillery. Jameson 18 Y Bow Street is also the first cask strength whisky ever released by this historic whiskey brand, resulting in a richer and more intense flavor experience. It matured in a collection of bourbon and sherry casks, with a final 6 to 12 months in first-fill bourbon casks.

Hibiki - Japanese Harmony

Hibiki - Japanese Harmony

Japan

First released in the summer of 2015, Hibiki Japanese Harmony is crafted by the Suntory Whisky blending team, led by Master Blender Shingo Torii with malt whiskies from the Yamazaki and Hakushu distilleries and, for the larger component by volume, grain whisky from the Chita distillery. The whiskies are drawn from 5 different types of cask, amoungst others American white oak, Sherry and Japanese Mizunara oak casks, entering a new fase of ‘no age statement’. Light, approachable with notes of orange peel and white chocolate.

WhistlePig - Straight Rye, 15 Y

WhistlePig - Straight Rye, 15 Y

United States of America

WhistlePig is one of the biggest success stories of the modern whiskey world. The brand has only been around since 2007, but American rye whiskey has won numerous prices nonetheless. The WhistlePig 15 Y – Vermont Estate Oak is one of their oldest whiskeys, but also the first to be finished in oak that was harvested on the distillery farm. This wood has more rings than the standard American oak used for whiskey, giving it more opportunity to impart deeper flavors.

Johnnie Walker - Blue Label

Johnnie Walker - Blue Label

Blended Scotch Whisky

Johnnie Walker’s flagship whisky! This blend of 16 of the rarest Scotch single malts is an homage to the art of blending, perfected by father John Walker and son Alexander. It is a very limited whisky, which is why every bottle has its own individual number. The whiskies have aged for an exceptional amount of time, often in former sherry casks. Rich malts from the iconic Isle of Islay are at the heart of Johnnie Walker Blue Label. The result is a sublime, smoky and tasty whisky.

Akashi, 5 Y Sherry Cask

Akashi, 5 Y Sherry Cask

Japan

The Eigashima Distillery is the oldest Japanese whisky distillery on paper – they acquired a distilling license in 1919. But their current distillery was built in 1984 and they’ve only been releasing single malt whisky since 2007. Whisky production at this small family distillery is very limited, as they’re only active during the warmer months. Their Akashi Sherry Cask has matured for 5 years in a top-quality sherry cask: Japanese whisky at its finest!

Willett - Pot Still Reserve

Willett - Pot Still Reserve

USA

It’s a striking bottle, but the whiskey inside it deserves this fancy packaging. This Kentucky Bourbon might be a little difficult to pour, but the rewards come afterwards. Willett Distillery was completely renovated in 2012 and shifted from independent bottling company to actually distilling its own whiskey. There are a total of eight bonded warehouses on-site, for a total capacity of almost 50,000 barrels of delicious whiskey.

Caol Ila, 18 Y

Caol Ila, 18 Y

Islay

Located on the Isle of Islay, Caol Ila is known for its heavily peated whisky. The distillery was originally founded in 1846, but the old distillery was demolished in the early 1970s and a new, much larger version of Caol Ila was built. To this day, Caol Ila is the largest producer of Scotch single malt whisky on Islay. The Caol Ila, 18 Y is an elegant whisky. The extra years of aging in oak casks has mellowed the impact of the peat, turning it into a very mature Islay whisky with lots of interesting subtleties.

Togouchi, 15 Y

Togouchi, 15 Y

Japan

A 15 year old blended whisky from the Togouchi range, produced by Chugoku Jozo in Japan. The company was founded in 1918 and is based in Akiota. They do not distil whisky themselves, but import the Malt Whisky from Scotland and the Grain Whisky from Canada. Blending and maturing takes place in Japan, which means it can be called Japanese whisky. The location for maturing the Whisky is a special one. An old, deserted train tunnel in the area turns out to be the ideal place to age whisky.
