Filliers was founded in 1880 near Deinze, Belgium. As early as 1928, the third generation made a classic Gin based on 28 ingredients, making them the first Belgian Gin distillery. This is a classic distilled Gin with juniper, coriander, Belgian hops, angel root, bell pepper and fresh oranges. This Gin can simply be enjoyed purely. In cocktails, however, it also shows its solid character and a lot of spiciness with beautiful soft citrus notes.

Filliers - Classic Gin 28 Botanicals

In Edinburgh, the ancient Scottish capital of Scotland, has been home to another distillery since 2010. Here, multiple Gins are made on a small scale in the West End and the Leith distillery. The standard Edinburgh Gin is made in the London Dry style, with juniper, coriander, lavender, pine blossom, mulberry, hazelnut, lemongrass, angel root and lime peel. The Gin has a balanced softness with clear citrus notes. That makes this Gin very suitable for all kinds of cocktails.

Edinburgh - Dry Gin

A Dutch Gin with a long tradition. Onder the Boompjes, a distillery in Leiden started in 1658. They used the recipe of Dr Franciscus Dele Boë Sylvius, who as first distilled Juniper berries and invented genever. The new distillery, which also produces gin, is now based in Schiedam. The herbs used are juniper berries, coriander, angel root, caraway seeds, lavender, star anise and liquorice. The Gin is velvety and slightly spicy.

Opihr Oriental Spiced is a new London Dry Gin, naturally flavored with exotic plant extracts, carefully selected by Opihr's Master Distiller from countries along the ancient spice route. Opihr Gin intensity embodies the exotic East through the use of hand-picked botanicals including coriander from Morocco, black pepper from India and spicy cubeb berries from Indonesia and combines it with high-quality gin of the oldest distillery in England.

Suntory is a Japanese company that has a long gin history. Their first gin was released in 1936, while their latest and maybe most impressive is Roku Gin. A modest amount of six Japanese botanicals are used to give Roku Gin its signature flavors. They bring the consumer on a journey of the four seasons: Sakura flower, Sakura leaf, Yuzu peel, Sencha tea (green tea), Gyokuro tea (refined green tea) and Sanshō pepper. Each botanical is harvested at the peak of its season to extract the best flavor.

Suntory - Roku

Sharish Blue Magic Gin comes all the way from Portugal. Interestingly, this is made with a range of botanicals grown by the distillers themselves, like lemon peel, juniper, raspberry and ginger. The bright blue color comes from a flower known as blue pea. Furthermore, if you mix Sharish Blue Magic Gin with tonic, it turns pink? Very cool!

Sharish - Blue Magic Gin

Neben botanischen Kräutern auch durchtränkt mit Ugni Blanc Traube. Für die Nase sind die traubigen Noten führend, aber werden in Balance gehalten durch Töne von Zitrusfrucht und Kardamom. Sogar am Gaumen übernehmen die Trauben die Führung. Lecker mit ausgeprägten, frischen Kräutern, besonders die Zitronen und Ingwernoten. Die Trauben fügen eine angenehme Süße hinzu. Es ist nahezu wie ein aromatisierter Wodka. Der Abgang ist sehr klar und angenehm mit Kräutern und grasartigen Noten mit einem leicht mineralischen Geschmack.

G'Vine - Floraison

Dieser niederländische Gin hat ein weiches, delikates und doch reichhaltiges Profil, das mit dem beladenen Geruch von Rose beginnt, akzentuiert mit frischem Pfirsich und einem leichten Hauch von Tannen. Im Mund scheinen Himbeeren durch mit einem weichen und interessanten weichen Mix aus Wacholderbeeren, Schwertlinienwurzel und Süßholz, die im Hintergrund anwesend sind. Im trockenen Abgang wird die Wacholderbeere weniger transparent, wodurch die vertraute Erfahrung begrüßt wird.

Nolet - Silver Dry Gin

Dieser viel gelobte Gin hat zunächst ein wacholderbeerreiches Bouquet, das von einem reichhaltigen Getreidespirit unterstützt wird. Topnoten von Kardamom und Orangenblüte sind deutlich auszumachen mit einem Hauch von Zimt. Der Anfangsfokus liegen auf der Wacholder, aber immer mehr erdige Kräuter können auch entdeckt werden. Verleiht ein außergewöhnlich sahniges Mundgefühl. Im Abgang sackt die Wacholderbeere ein und macht Platz für den Kardamom und den Zimt, mit einem späten Aufleben von Orangenschale.

Ein ungewöhnlicher Gin aus dem Schwarzwald. Monkey 47 enthält Cranberries als einzigartige Zutat. Die 47 kommt von der Anzahl an Kräutern, die benutzt wird in diesem einzigartigen Gin, zudem der Umstand, dass der Gin 47% Alkoholgehalt hat. 2011 gewann Monkey 47 einen goldenen World Spirits Award in der Kategorie Gin und Gold für den besten in seiner Klasse, Gin Worldwide, auf der International Wine and Spirits Competition in London.

Monkey 47 - Dry Gin

Die vier „mediterranen“ Botanical-Zutaten sind für die Nase sofort klar, im Besonderen mit dem Rosmarin. Allerdings spielt die Wacholderbeere immer noch die Hauptrolle und wird dann dominierend ergänzt von den anderen Botanicals. Die deftigen, würzigen Elemente sind auch klar im Geschmack, mit dem Rosmarin wieder im Mittelpunkt, neben dem klassischen Wacholderbeer-Rückgrat. Eine Leichtigkeit wird kreiert durch das Zitrus und Basilikum mit einem deftigen Olivenunterton. Es gibt eine große Tiefe des Geschmacks mit Oliven und Thymian.

Gin Mare - Mediterranean Gin

Ki No Bi bedeutet grob übersetzt "Die Schönheit der Jahreszeiten". Es ist ein von der Tradition inspirierter Gin, der in Kyoto destilliert, gemischt und abgefüllt wird. KI NO BI Kyoto Craft Gin ist unbestreitbar ein Dry Style Gin, aber mit einem ausgeprägten japanischen Twist. Der Gin wird mit japanischen Botanicals wie gelber Yuzu, Hinoki-Holzspänen, Bambus, Gyokuro-Tee und grünen Sansho-Beeren hergestellt. KI NO BI wird mit einem Alkoholgehalt von 45,7 % in Flaschen abgefüllt und verwendet eine Reisspiritusbasis und unvergleichliches Wasser, das aus Fushimi, einem berühmten Brauereibezirk in Japan, stammt.
