The Matusalem Gran Reserva Lefebre 23Y is a rum from the Dominican Republic. This limited edition is named after Claudio Álvarez Lefebre, the great-grandfather of the fifth generation of Ron Matusalem’s founders. Only 2,000 bottles are available worldwide. The rum is aged using the Solera system in French oak barrels previously used for Bordeaux wines. Tasting notes include hints of spiced oak, chocolate, mild bitterness, and sweet paprika. The finish is long with warm, spicy oak accents. The alcohol content is 43%.
