Matusalem 15 Y – Gran Reserva 2024 is a rum currently produced in the Dominican Republic. The Matusalem brand was founded in Santiago de Cuba in 1872 by brothers Benjamin and Eduardo Camp. After a period of interruption and relocation, the rum has been produced in the Dominican Republic since the early 2000s. The rum is made using the solera method. This system combines rums of different ages to achieve a steady and consistent flavor. Distillation takes place using a column still at the facility in Monte Plata, Dominican Republic. The rum is made from sugar cane molasses and is aged in oak barrels according to the solera system. The alcohol content is 40% ABV.
