This distillery grows its own barley, malts it on its own traditional malting floor, employs its own cooper and coppersmith to maintain the casks and stills, and boasts the longest-serving malt master in the industry. Balvenie DoubleWood is a classic Speyside whisky, matured in bourbon casks and, after around 10 years, transferred to Oloroso sherry casks. The bourbon casks give the whisky its traditional smooth character, while the sherry casks add strength and depth of flavour. Now presented in an attractive gift pack with two glasses.
