Akashi - Meïsei 50cl

The White Oak Distillery was built in 1984 and is located in the town of Akashi on the island of Honshu. Whiskies from this distillery are only sporadically available in Europe. Only about 3% of the production is bottled as single malt. Their first whisky was only released in 2007 and since then several limited releases have appeared. This Akashi Meïsei, Japanese for 'fame', has matured in American oak casks and is a wonderful example of the quality of Japanese blended whisky.
