Unicum Zwack is a traditional Hungarian herbal liqueur with a bitter‑aromatic character, made from more than 40 herbs and roots according to a strict family secret. The recipe dates back to 1790, when Jozef Zwack, court physician to Emperor Joseph II, created the first batch. With an alcohol content of 40 percent, Unicum is traditionally served chilled as a digestif or aperitif in a small glass.
