The White Cask - First-fill Edition 1 litre

Some bottles are not so easy to come across. The White Cask – The First-Fill Edition is a great example. Originally created for the Travel Retail market, this special edition is not something you’ll find on every shelf. Luckily, a limited number of bottles have made their way beyond the airport shops. This single malt comes from Speyside and is released by Ian Macleod Distillers. It was matured in first-fill bourbon casks made from American white oak. In other words, these casks were used to mature whisky for the very first time. This allows the wood to have a strong influence during maturation, giving the whisky an extra layer of character.
