This edition, The Irishman – Legacy, was created to commemorate 700 years of written history of distilling in Ireland, based on the mention of “aqua vitae” in the medieval Red Book of Ossory. The whiskey is first aged in ex‑bourbon and ex‑sherry barrels, then finished for 15 months in Châteauneuf‑du‑Pape wine casks, and is bottled at 46% alcohol.
