The Glenlivet, 12 years - Provence Edition 70cl

The Glenlivet was founded in 1824 by George Smith, right in the heart of Speyside. Smith was one of the first local distillers to receive an official licence to make whisky. That might sound normal today, but back then it was a pretty big deal. Illegal distilling was very common, and Smith’s licence didn’t exactly win him many friends. In fact, he even carried two pistols for protection. With this edition, Scotland meets the south of France. After its regular maturation, the twelve-year-old expression gets an extra finish in casks that previously held Provence rosé. The result? A classic Scotch whisky with a little taste of French sunshine.
