The base of this release is Teeling Small Batch, a blended Irish whiskey that first matures in ex‑bourbon barrels and then receives a finish in rum casks. This means that after the initial maturation, the whiskey is aged for up to an additional year in barrels that previously held rum. The whiskey has an alcohol content of 46 percent and is presented in a gift box.
