Wild Turkey’s Jimmy Russel is the longest tenured master distiller in the world. For more than 6 decades he’s preserved the tradition at Wild Turkey, and to some he’s even known as the Buddha of Bourbon. Jimmy’s son Eddie was recently also appointed as master distiller – Russell’s Reserve is named after the father and son duo. Together they bring nearly a century of experience to the table when they craft Russell’s Reserve, 6 Y. It is an elegant rye whiskey that was introduced in 2007 and has been wildly popular ever since.
