The distillery has been making bourbon since the 1860s, using traditional copper pot stills and a mix of malted grains. Bourbon is an American whisky containing at least 51% corn and aged in new, charred oak barrels. Rare Breed is a cask strength bourbon, meaning it is bottled directly from the barrel without dilution. The alcohol content is 54.1%. The whisky is a blend of six, eight, and ten-year-old bourbons.
