Maker’s Mark rotates all barrels by hand during aging, ensuring an even influence from the wood. The barrels are stored in warehouses without artificial climate control, allowing seasonal changes to affect the interaction between whiskey and wood. The bottle features the characteristic red wax seal, which has been applied by hand to each bottle since the 1950s. The whiskey is bottled at 50.5 percent alcohol.
