In the heart of the Pays d’Auge, the main Cru of the Calvados region in Normandy, the Boulard family has been making their Calvados in the traditional way since 1825. The fifth generation is now at the helm. Calvados is a distilled apple spirit. Boulard has over 35,000 apple trees of various varieties in the region. In the Pays d’Auge, Calvados must be distilled twice in traditional Alambic stills. This VSOP has been aged for a minimum of four years in French oak. The result is a well-balanced, smooth, and fresh Calvados with a full apple flavor.
