Frapin Château Fontpinot XO 100th Anniversary is a cognac from Grande Champagne, the heart of the Cognac region and the only area classified as Premier Cru. This bottling comes from the family-owned house of Frapin, which grows its own grapes on vineyards surrounding Château Fontpinot, where distillation and ageing also take place. Grande Champagne owes its reputation to its chalk-rich soils, which promote slow maturation. The eaux-de-vie are aged in oak casks in the château’s dry cellars. Bottled at 40 percent alcohol, this cognac falls under the protected designation of origin Cognac AOC. The name 100th Anniversary refers to a commemorative edition within Frapin’s XO range.
