Absente 55 is a lightly bitter absinthe with a slightly sweet flavour. It is made from an infusion of absinthe herbs (1.5%), lemon balm, cane sugar, water, alcohol, and mint distillate. This European version has an alcohol content of 55% and is produced according to the traditional recipe, using wormwood as a key ingredient.
