About Glenglassaugh
The Glenglassaugh Distillery was founded in 1875. It has been closed several times. Production was doubled in 1959, as was the number of stills at that time.
The Glenglassaugh Distillery reopened in 2008 after being closed for no less than 22 years. The distillery is located on the North Sea coast north of Speyside near the town of Portsoy.
The first new casks were filled in December 2008.
Glenglassaugh Revival 3 y.o. 46% The Revival is thus a young whisky that is particularly flavorful. A pronounced fruity nose with cream and light briny influences. Quite a powerhouse for its age. The influence of several sherry casks is clearly noticeable, but it is primarily the coastal influence that makes this whisky special. Not surprising when you know the location of the distillery. Packaged in a special bottle and a beautiful box, this is a stunning first new bottling. And for a first bottling, the price is particularly friendly.
