About Glen Spey
The Glen Spey distillery opened its doors in 1885 and remained independent until 1962. The current owner is Diageo. In 1970, the number of stills was doubled. Like almost all other distilleries, this distillery was also closed during the two world wars. The entire production is used in blends and the only bottlings released as single malt come from independent bottlers or can be found in the "Flora and Fauna" collection.
