The Singleton isn’t one but three distilleries. The brand was created by owner Diageo to showcase single malts from Glendullan, Dufftown and Glen Ord, each for a specific region. For example, The Singleton of Dufftown is widely available in Europe, while the Singleton of Glendullan is sold exclusively in North America. The Singleton, 18 Y is produced at Dufftown, a distillery founded in the late 19th century. The whisky matured dor 18 years in a combination of sherry can bourbon casks.
