Oliver & Oliver is a Cuban company that originates in Cuba and buys Rums from 5 Caribbean countries. Located in the Dominican Republic, they release several Rums including the Opthimus. All rum for the Opthimus comes from the Dominican Republic. They leave this traditional Spanish-style Rum to mature long before they release it. The 18 year old is a wonderful example of this. They are limited editions; each bottle is numbered by hand.

Havana Club is the most famous Rum of Cuba, founded in 1878. Havana Club has asked a team of highly experienced Rum Maestro's to select their favourite Rum under the leadership of Don José Navarro. These Rums first mature separately in American oak barrels and together they get a finish on specially selected barrels. The Seleccion Maestro is an aromatic rich Spanish style Rum with tones of tobacco, leather and coffee.

The Diamond distillery in Guyana has existed since 1670 and is perhaps the oldest working distillery in the Caraiben. They produce Demarara Rum, named after the nearby river. Diamond's special feature is that they have 2 working wooden Pot Stills still and a wooden column Still, a unique feature in the world! This El Dorado is a blend of the various Diamond boilers and is a powerful English-style rum.

In 1944 Industrias Licoreras de Guatemala was created from a amalgamation of 4 distilleries and produced Rums of high quality. Rum from Guatemala belongs to the Spanish style, but is characterized by a complex, rich taste. Zacapa is a Rum blender who buys the Rum from the distillery. This 23 matures according to the Solera system. The average age is therefore between 6 and 23 years. This Rum rightly won many prizes.

Named after its founder, the Facundo Collection is a premium range of rums from Bacardí, one of the best-selling rum brands worldwide. Neo is the Spanish word for ‘new’. Its appearance is completely transparent, yet the Bacardí Facundo Neo is blended aged for up to 8 years. They are charcoal filtered to mellow the taste, which also removes the color. A beautifully balanced drink!

This Plantation – Jamaica 2007 was produced at the renowned Clarendon Distillery. Built in 1949, it is a relatively new distillery in Jamaica. It is situated on the Moneymusk Estate after which their popular brand Moneymusk is named. This funky Jamaican rum was distilled in 2007 in the distillery’s Vendome pot still. After 13 years of maturation in a tropical climate, a total of 28 ex-bourbon casks were shipped to France for a further two years in ex-Ferrand casks.

Een Rum ter ere van het 100 jarig bestaan van de Varela Hermanos SA distilleerderij in Panama. De suikerfabriek uit 1908 begon in 1935 ook met het distilleren van Rum. Inmiddels is Abuelo een bekende Spaanse stijl Panama Rum die diverse variëteiten uitbrengt. Centuria is een blend van diverse vaten, waarvan de oudste wel 30 jaar hebben gerijpt. Door het gebruik van getoaste vaten van Amerikaans eiken heeft de Rum een hintje rook, vanille en gedroogd fruit.

In 1890 startte de familie Pellas de Flor de Caña distilleerderij in Nicaragua. Inmiddels is de 5e generatie aan het bewind. Na de politieke revolutie in 1979 in Nicaragua besloot de familie dat ze Rum weg moesten gaan leggen in die onzekere tijden; daaraan hebben we deze Ultra Premium Rum te danken; nNa een rijping van ruim 25 jaar in ex- Jack Daniels vaten is dit een mooie, complexe Spaanse stijl Rum.

Uitgebracht ter ere van het 100-jarig bestaan van het in oosten van Guatamala gelegen stadje Zacapa. In tegenstelling tot de meeste rums wordt niet melasse, maar de eerste persing (virgin sugar cane honey) gebruikt. Zacapa XO is een blend van 6 tot 25 jaar oude rums. De blend is extra gerijpt in oude Cognacvaten van Frans eiken. De lage temperaturen zorgen voor een langzame rijping, terwijl de lage luchtdruk het houtcontact intensiever maakt. Voor het solera-systeem worden Bourbon-, Sherry- en Pedro Ximenez-vaten gebruikt.

Clement is opgericht in 1887 en geldt als de grondlegger van de Rhum Agricole van het Franse eiland Martinique. Ze produceren de Rhum van puur suikerriet sap (Rhum Agricole). De Rhum rijpt op Frans eiken en wordt gedistilleerd in traditionele koperen Pot Stills van Franse origine. De Clement - Elixir is een blend van prachtige Rhums en rijpt minstens 6 jaar op eikenhouten vaten.

De Facundo-collectie is vernoemd naar de oprichter van Bacardí. Het is een reeks met premium dranken van deze rumproducent. Een veel oudere rum van Bacardí ga je niet vinden van de Facundo Exquisito, die bestaat uit rums die 7 tot 23 jaar hebben gerijpt. De rum bracht nog minstens een maand door in ex-Sherryvaten voordat deze gebotteld werd.

In 1913 richtte Julio Arango y Parra in Cartagene de Destilería Colombiana op. Zijn bedoeling was om de beste Rum van Colombia te gaan maken. Dictador is de uitzondering op de regel die stelt dat Spaanse stijl Rum van molasse wordt gemaakt. Dictador maakt Rum met puur suikerriet sap. Ze distilleren in koperen Pot Stills en voor de rijping gebruiken ze vaten van Amerikaans eiken. Deze editie heeft gemiddeld 20 jaar gerijpt in een solera systeem.
