Lagavulin, 16 years 70cl

The Lagavulin distillery was founded in 1816. This Islay representative in the ‘Classic Malts’ series is a powerhouse. Lagavulin is not for the faint-hearted. In 2012, it was named ‘Best Islay 13–20 Years’ and won a Gold Medal from the IWSC. This whisky is a classic example of how peat smoke is not a blunt instrument that masks everything in a haze, but an element that works with all the facets developed during distillation and maturation. A complex malt.
