Kopke Colheita 2005 (0.75 ℓ)

Kopke is the oldest Port House of Portugal, founded in 1638 by Cristiano Köpke. The vineyards are situated on the slopes of the Douro Valley. The port is aged in the ancient cellars of Entreposto de Gaia. 'Colheita' means nothing more than 'harvest year'. A Colheita is always a Port of only 1 harvest year, with a minimum aging period of 7 years in oak barrels. This 2005 is a relatively young version; there are still plenty of acids present, which make the Port appear quite complex.
