Cedar Ridge - Single Malt 70cl

A single malt from Cedar Ridge in Iowa, a state known for growing corn. Instead, Cedar Ridge Single Malt is made exclusively from 2-row pale malted barley. It first matures in a whole range of oak barrels, including some wine casks from the local winery. After that the liquid is finished in a solera system, which is a maturation technique best-known from sherry production. Cedar Ridge Distillery was founded in 2005 and became the first licensed distillery in Iowa since Prohibition.
