Brugal Añejo Reserva is a classic rum from the Dominican Republic, produced by Casa Brugal. The story of Brugal began in 1888, when Don Andrés Brugal Montaner founded the family business. Since then, the knowledge and traditions of rum making have been passed down from generation to generation. Brugal has a long tradition of ageing rum in oak barrels. As early as 1916, the brand built its first ageing cellars in the Dominican Republic. Añejo Reserva is aged in oak barrels, with various sources indicating that American oak barrels are used. The ageing process gives the rum its warm amber colour and contributes to the character of the final blend. Brugal is known for a style in which the wood and ageing process play a clear role. Añejo Reserva is an accessible example of this Dominican rum tradition. With an alcohol content of 38%, it is suitable for drinking neat or over ice, as well as for use in classic rum cocktails.
