In recent centuries, nearly 100 Scottish Malt Whisky distilleries have been closed. Lost Distillery has no warehouse for old forgotten whisky, no secret recipe and no plans to reopen these lost distilleries. What is realized is found in history books and forgotten distillery logs, and Single Malt Whisky's are blended with different taste profiles based on archivist's notes and the interpretation of the 'Master Blender'. The Lossit distillery on Islay was in use from 1817-1867.
