Grey Goose Vodka is one of the original premium vodka brands. The production begins in the wheat fields of Northern France and ends in the Grande Champagne, the main Cognac region. Through meticulous attention to detail and craftsmanship, Grey Goose has become one of the most popular and best vodkas in the world. At Tasting Collection, we have a large selection and you can get Grey Goose at a sharp price.
The man behind the success story of Grey Goose is Sidney Frank. In the 1990s, almost no one had thought that vodka could also be a premium product. Bottles were often sold at rock-bottom prices, but Frank knew it could be different. To bring his vision to life, he strangely decided to make his vodka in France.
Poland, Russia, or Scandinavia would have been a more traditional and logical choice. But Frank knew that there was also years of expertise in France in distilling beverages, such as cognac. So he enlisted François Thibault. Thibault, as a renowned cellar master, was fascinated with innovation and loved to experiment. That was exactly why Frank saw him as the ideal man to bring Grey Goose from idea to reality.
Together, Frank and Thibault turned the vodka brand into a huge success. Even so much that in 2004, Bacardi's interest was piqued. They acquired the company for billions — at the time, the highest amount ever paid for a beverage brand.
Grey Goose is made from wheat. This wheat is grown in Picardy, a region also known as the breadbasket of France. The soft winter barley that grows there is also used for the best French bread.
The distillery of Grey Goose is located in Saint-Quentin in the heart of Picardy. There, the wheat is ground into fine flour. By adding water and enzymes, fermentation is initiated. Then it is distilled, which according to cellar master Thibault is an absolute art. According to him, the distiller is like a kind of chef.
After distillation, the vodka (which still has an alcohol content of 96%) is transported to Cognac. That region is known for its soft and somewhat sweet spring water, which is used to bring the vodka back to the right strength. Since vodka consists of 60% water, it is important that this is of the highest quality.
The vodka from Grey Goose is incredibly good, but this producer has more to offer. With Le Citron, La Vanille, La Poira, and L'Orange, there are several flavorful alternatives. And there is even a variant that is supplemented with cognac of the highest quality.
Whatever you choose, with Grey Goose you can't go wrong. At Tasting Collection, it's easy to place an order. We ensure it is quickly delivered to your home.
