About Glenallachie
The Glenallachie distillery was established in 1967 by Mackinlay MacPherson. At that time, this company was part of Scottish Newcastle Breweries Ltd. The distillery was designed by William Delme Evans, who also designed the distilleries of Tullibardine and Isle of Jura. Scottish Newcastle Breweries Ltd sold Glenallachie in 1985, and it became part of the Invergordon Distillers Group. The same year the distillery closed its doors. Later, Glenallachie was acquired by the French Pernod-Ricard. The entire production is used in blends, especially those of Clan Campbell. The single malts of Glenallachie are rare.
