Nikka Taketsuru Pure Malt is a blended malt named in honor of Nikka’s founder, Masataka Taketsuru. He was the first Japanese who mastered whisky-making in Scotland. He applied this expertise when he returned to Japan and is often credited as being the father of Japanese whisky. Nikka Taketsuru Pure Malt was first launched in 2020 and is a blend of malt whiskies from various Japanese distilleries.
