Since 1880, the Gordon Rouge of Grand Marnier has been made according to the family recipe. The superior French Cognac is blended with a distilled essence of the oranges and then aged in oak barrels, allowing it to mature beautifully into a well-balanced and rounded drink.
Grand Marnier - Louis Alexandre
The Louis Alexandre of Grand Marnier is made from a special selection of cognacs from the Cognac regions of Grande Champagne, Petite Champagne, Borderies, Fins Bois, and Bons Bois. It is aged for an extended period in oak barrels. This variety is not sold everywhere, but of course, it is available at Tasting Collection. Because this variant is made with 82% cognac and only 18% orange liqueur, it is significantly less sweet. But beautifully complex, making it more enjoyable to savor neat rather than in a mix.
Grand Marnier - Cuvée Du Centenaire
The last and most premium version of Grand Marnier is the Cuvée Du Centenaire, also known as 100. This is made with (also) 82% Cognac that has been aged for a minimum of 25 years and 18% orange liqueur. Consequently, the price is naturally higher, as this is the most luxurious Grand Marnier.
