The Cardhu distillery was founded in 1810 and became famous for its square bottle, which contains a silky whisky. Cardhu makes whisky mainly for Johnnie Walker, but their own single malt is also rapidly gaining popularity. The Amber Rock has matured twice on burned American barrels. If you take the whisky out of the barrel after a few years and put it on a fresh barrel, the wood influence will be very clear.
