The Basis represents a selection of eau-de-vie of wine, distilled without lees (wine-sediment). Camus stresses the importance of the flavors of the wine and the influence of the Charente region, characterized by fruity and floral notes; a mix that is particularly important for this Cognac, awarded with gold medals on several occasions.
