Marolo - Barbera 70cl

Paolo Marolo heeft van 1967 tot 1977 lesgegeven aan de beroemde Oenologen school in Alba. In 1977 opende hij zijn eigen Grappa Distilleria in hetzelfde Alba, midden in de Barolo streek in Piemonte. Hij was zijn tijd vooruit, want toen al hij stookte kleine batches Grappa in kleine au bain-marie stookketels. De Barbera druif is een blauwe druif die vooral in Piemonte gekweekt wordt. De wijn kan dieprood en krachtig zijn. De Grappa is ook krachtig met veel rood fruit en zelfs iets wat op bijenwas lijkt. Hoe krachtiger de druif, des te steviger de Grappa.
