The number 1 refers to the legendary warehouse No.1 Vaults; In the whisky industry worldwide the oldest of its kind. Beautifully located on the Atlantic Ocean, where whiskies age under sea level. Bowmore no 1 is aged only in first fill ex-bourbon barrels and has a PPM content of 25.
