Glen Moray, 10 Y – Fired Oak is this Speyside distillery’s answer to bourbon. By law, American bourbon must mature in charred virgin oak barrels — casks that have never been used before. These types of barrels impart more intense flavors. To capture some of that intense bourbon-like flavor, the Glen Moray Fired Oak is finished in heavily charred virgin casks made from American oak. The result is Scottish single malt whisky with a surprisingly American flavor profile.
