Yellow Rose – Outlaw Bourbon doet zijn naam eer aan. Deze whiskey wijkt af van de meeste bourbons, hoewel die officieel nog wel een bourbon genoemd mag worden. Voor praktisch alle bourbons wordt een combinatie van verschillende granen gebruikt, maar Outlaw Bourbon bestaat volledig uit Texaanse gele maïs. Vanwege het warme Texaanse klimaat en de grote temperatuurschommelingen is de angels’ share een flinke 15%. Dat heeft een grote impact op de smaakeigenschappen van Yellow Rose – Outlaw Bourbon.
