18 jaar rijping, een flinke dosis Ierse geschiedenis en een naam met een bijzonder verhaal. Tullamore D.E.W. werd in 1829 opgericht in het Ierse stadje Tullamore. De letters D.E.W. verwijzen naar Daniel E. Williams, die ooit als staljongen bij de distilleerderij begon en het uiteindelijk schopte tot manager. Van paarden verzorgen naar whiskey maken: dat noemen we nog eens carrière maken! Tegenwoordig is Tullamore D.E.W. een van de bekendste Ierse whiskeymerken ter wereld. Deze 18 Year Old is een mooie verwijzing naar die lange geschiedenis en het vakmanschap dat door de jaren heen is opgebouwd.
