The English - Smoky 70cl

In 2006 opende de English Whisky Company de St. George distilleerderij in het Zuid Engelse Norfolk. Het was voor het eerst meer dan 100 jaar dat er in Engeland weer whisky gemaakt werd. Ze werken volledig op de schotse manier, en maken zowel geturfde als ongeturfde whisky. De Smoky is hun eerste zwaar geturfde Engelse whisky met een rookgehalte van 45 PPM. Het recept is bedacht door Ian Henderson, voormalig distillery manager van Laphroaig.
