Deanston, 18 years 70cl

De Deanston distilleerderij heeft een interessante achtergrond: ooit was het namelijk een katoenspinnerij. Deanston werd opgericht in 1785 en kende ruim anderhalve eeuw voorspoed, tot de katoenindustrie na de Tweede Wereldoorlog in verval raakte. In de jaren ’60 werd daarom de spinnerij omgebouwd tot een distilleerderij. De Deanston 18 Y is een uitstekend voorbeeld van waar de distilleerderij toe in staat it. Een finish in first-fill Kentucky bourbonvaten geeft de whisky een heerlijk smaakprofiel.
