Darkness, 8 years 70cl

De naam klinkt misschien een beetje onheilspellend, maar de Darkness, 8 Y is dat totaal niet. De inspiratie voor de naam komt juist van de donkere kleur van deze single malt, die het resultaat is van een interessant rijpingsproces. De Darkness, 8 Y is namelijk gefinisht in Oloroso sherry octaves voor een periode van minstens 3 maanden. Deze kleine vaten zorgen voor een relatief veel groter contact tussen het hout en de whisky, wat een intensere rijping en smaakbeleving tot gevolg heeft.
