Glen Scotia - Campbeltown 1832

The Glen Scotia – Campbeltown 1832 is an homage to the whisky region this distillery resides in, as well as the year the distillery was founded. The whisky sets itself apart because it packs a peatier punch than you’d usually expect from Glen Scotia. It also spent a final period of time in casks that previously held Pedro Ximénez – a sherry wine noted for its intense sweetness. Glen Scotia takes well to this kind of cask finishing, and the end result is an interesting balancing act between savory and sweet.
