Évadé - Whisky Français

Évadé is a single malt from France with some interesting characteristics that give it a quintessential French twist. For starters, Évadé is double distilled in a so-called Charentais pot still, usually reserved for making Cognac. After distillation, the Évadé single malt spends its time maturing in a whole range of different cask types, giving the spirit something singular. Both new and old (36 months) French oak casks are used, as well as new American oak, bourbon, cognac and red Burgundy wine. Évadé has aged anywhere between three to five years in total.
